Youth Group and Team Programs
Team/Small Group Training Sessions at Puckmasters Norwood
Great players accomplish great things. Wouldn't it be awesome if teammates experienced a fresh and positive "player's only" training session? We provide professionally certified coaches for players and goalies during dynamic 90-minute practices on our ProSpeed™ R.S.S. rinks! We'll enhance Captain's practices, or we can follow the coaches' practice schedule to help enhance your players and teams! You're players will receive personal attention because we coach small groups, up to 15 skaters per team session with up to three certified instructors. Your players will never work so hard while having so much fun with their teammates!
90 Minute Team/Small Group Sessions Topics:
Offensive options, deking, shooting, checking, defensive tactics, offensive line and defense pair training, passing and quick releases. Sessions finish with 30-minute 3 on 3 scrimmages to reinforce lessons learned in a fun atmosphere.
Cost:
- $175 for 90 minutes on three ProSpeed™ R.S.S. rinks with up to three certified Puckmasters coaches
- $115 for 90 minutes with no Puckmasters coaches on 2 ProSpeed™ R.S.S. rinks
Team Membership Package
Train as a team of one. Our Team Membership Package lets you send an entire team to train at our facility. We become your team's personalized training center specializing in individual, offensive line and defensive pair skills development.
Team Memberships Package Includes:
- 6 x 90-minute team training sessions with up to three Puckmasters certified coaches (9 hours of training)
- 24 x 30 minute one-on-one sessions tailored to individual players' needs (sessions allotted to your players at your discretion)
- 4 hours "open ice" without a Puckmasters coach
Cost:
Your team receives $2,300 in Puckmasters training discounted to $1,800. This breaks down to only $90 per player for professionally coached and personalized sessions and four hours "open ice."
World's Greatest Hockey Clinic (WGHC)
It's not called "The World's Greatest Hockey Clinic" for nothing! Featuring one hour of stickhandling and shooting training,and an hour of 3-on-3 play, players get to practice their skills, then apply them in a game situation. Must be seen to be believed! (Max 25 skaters and 5 goalies)
WGHC Includes:
- 30 minutes accelerated stickhandling training
- 30 minutes accelerated shooting training
- 1 hr 3-on-3 play
- Training on ProSpeed™ R.S.S. Rink at Puckmasters
- 6 coaches

- $30 per player per 120 minute WGHC session
Team Shooting Clinics
Become a feared sniper! Shooting is our bread and butter. If your players can shoot and score they'll contribute to their team. Besides perfect shooting technique, we'll instill the mindset that every time they shoot they'll expect to score or setup an assist-generating rebound.
Topics Covered:
Snap-shot, Wrist shot, Backhand shot, Slap shot, one-timers, quick hands, quick release, rebounds, shooters illusion, shooting strategies, accuracy drills, shooting drills, shooting technique and eyes up.

Puck Control Clinics
Maintain puck possession, control the game. If you control the puck, your opponent cannot score. Your players will maximize puck possession to play-make and score goals. Through superior puck control, your players will dominate and change a game's momentum.

- $160 for up to three Puckmasters coaches per 60-minute clinic session (max 15 skaters)
Defensive Clinics
Offense generates opportunity. Defense wins championships. Transform your organization's defensemen into solid defensive pairs that are also offensive threats. Learn as a team to systematically suffocate an opponent's offense through layered, team defense.
Topics Covered:
Boxing out in front of the net, pressure and contain checking, angling to the corner, defensive triangle, using the net, passing and receiving, quarterbacking the Breakout and Power Play, defensive communication, Blue Line containment, carrying the puck, reversing the Breakout, Fore-checking, Back-checking, shot-blocking, Defensive Zone Face-offs, and Penalty Killing.

- $160 for up to three Puckmasters coaches per 60 minute session (max 15 skaters)
- $75 for one Puckmasters coach and one defensive pair/ offensive line per 60 -minute sessions
- $140 for two Puckmasters coaches per 90-minute session (maximum 2 defensive pairs or 2 lines of skaters)
Forwards Clinics
Shut down your opponents' offense then overwhelm them with your counterattack. Each 60 minute session breaks down key components of play-making forwards.
Topics Covered:
Offensive positioning in the Offensive Zone, Cycling, Offensive Triangle, Offensive play in front of the opponent's net, screening, deflections, and rebounds. Players will be placed in game situations to learn specific skills in Neutral Zone and Offensive Face-offs, shooting, passing, deking, open ice moves, and puck-control.

Checking Clinic
Separate the player from the puck. Your players will become defensively complete and achieve "ice presence." We'll make it fun, safe, and we'll focus on proper technique while building your players' assertiveness and confidence.
Topics Covered:
Body positioning and balance, angling, pining and containing, safety, giving and receiving a body check, poke checks, press checks and lift checks.

Cost on Ice:
- $250 for one hour block
- $200 per hour for 2 or more hour blocks
Goalie Training
Become a force of one. Even in the Pros we've seen a hot goalie shut down an entire team's offense. Your goalies are your team's last hope, the final line of defense. They'll learn solid fundamental technique, good decision-making, and the proper mindset to become that wall that frustrates an entire team into submission. Your goalies can work one-on-one with a Puckmasters Certified coach. They'll learn more in 30 minutes than at any week-long camp. We guarantee that!

- $800 for 24 one on one sessions with a Puckmasters-certified coach
- $1550 for 50 one on one sessions
- $3000 for 100 one on one sessions
3-on-3 Training
Score up close and personal. At any level, over 95% of goals occur from within the Face-off dots. Our ProSpeed™ R.S.S. rinks (1 large, 1 small) are the perfect size to learn puck control, play-making, and to create time and space in that frantic, congested area in front of a goal. Your goalies will also face a lot of shots and rebounds. Book extra ice-time and play 3-on-3 for 60 minutes. By using both of our rinks your team can create their own mini-tournaments while honing their competitive edge.

ProSpeed™ R.S.S. Stick Practice
Develop your players' hockey strides and skating technique while having fun shooting and scrimmaging with your friends.
Cost:
- $175 for 60 minutes of skating on 2 ProSpeed™ R.S.S. (Resistance Skating Surface) rinks for group stick practice
- $90 for 60 minutes on 1 ProSpeed™ R.S.S. (Resistance Skating Surface) rinks for group stick practice
Team Synergy
The sum of many always exceeds the sum of one. The greatest coaching challenge is getting 15-25 players to perform as one. Even Pros are not formally schooled on team synergy. So we read about them violating basic rules on teamwork. Conversely, the New England Patriots and the 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team proved to the world what can be accomplished with proper team synergy.

Team Synergy, introduction and discussion of leadership, video and team synergy analysis and discussions, practical exercises, case studies, role models, role playing, team synergy principles and traits, team writings, and Team Synergy pledge.

Team Leadership Seminar
(Team Synergy is a prerequisite to enroll in Team Leadership.) "Lead and I will follow." Every championship team needs strong, respected leaders. Leaders inspire other players to elevate their game and to contribute to the collective good. Even in the pros team captains are not schooled on professional leadership. We'll formally teach your players leadership fundamentals through in-depth analysis and practical exercises. Give your players the leadership edge.

Hockey Parenting Seminar
"I cannot believe that parent did that!" Bad parental behavior is a growing concern. Formal, proactive education, discussion, and realization will minimize occurrences and protect a hockey organization. This seminar should become mandatory for every parent!

Your Puckmasters Norwood "Assistant" Coaching Staff
Hire us to become your unofficial "Assistant Coaching staff." We'll set up professional on-ice training sessions that maximize player skills development. We'll identify clear, definable goals to personally coach your players regardless of their skill and experience levels. Up to three certified coaches will ensure a small player-coach ratio.
